Cancellation of room

Should you need to cancel a reservation, please contact Anushka Arthur.

Reservations can be cancelled without penalty until 1, August 2019. If you cancel your reservation after that date, and your room cannot be resold, the hotel reserves the right to charge all nights’ accommodation as cancellation fees. This also comes into effect in case of early departure or a no-show.



To enter Vietnam, a valid Visa may be required.

Some passport holders visiting for less than 15 days are exempt, please check the Visa exemption list.

For those that do require a Visa you can obtain your Visa On Arrival. Travellers need to complete the following simple steps:

  • Get Visa Stamp when arriving Vietnam International Airports ( Ha Noi/ Da Nang/ Ho Chi Minh city/ Nha Trang ).

The weather in Hoi An and Danang during September have an expected average temperature of 28°C.

Throughout the month rain is on the increase but rainfall is generally heavy but short lasting, often occurring in a mid-afternoon heavy downpour.

Be sure to pack good walking shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and a light rain jacket (for the short-lasting afternoon rain) to keep yourself comfortable while participating in the tours and other outdoor activities.

Power plugs

In Vietnam the power plugs and sockets are of type A (two flat vertical pins), C and F (two round pins). The standard voltage is 110 / 220 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. If your power plug has 3 pins you will need an adapter for your appliances.

Coins money


The Vietnamese Dong is the major currency used in Vietnam. The dong comes in these denominations: 1,000, 2,000, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, 100,000 and 200,000. Cash is king in Vietnam, so you’ll need cash for most transactions. Make sure the VND banknotes you get back are not torn or damaged as many restaurants and shops won’t accept damaged banknotes.

The general rate of VAT in Vietnam which applies to goods and services is 10% and most hotels and restaurants change an additional 5% service change.

Foreigners are entitled to obtain a refund that accounts for 85 percent of VAT on eligible goods that were purchased at VAT refund shops during their travel in Vietnam. VAT refunds are available are most International Airports through-out Vietnam.
