These are the official rules (“Rules”) that govern the Genesys Customer Innovation Awards contest promotion (the “Contest”). By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Rules.
This is a skill-based contest put on by Genesys Cloud Services, Inc., 1302 El Camino Real, Suite 300, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. The object of this Contest is to recognize customer representatives who are excelling at the use of the Genesys services by judging entrants based on judging criteria. Each Customer Innovation Awards (CIA) submission you create and submit in the contest will be called an “Entry.”
This contest starts at 12:01 AM PT on April 21, 2025 and ends at 11:59 PM PT on May 16, 2025 (the “Entry Period”). Entries must be received within the entry period to be eligible. Any entries received outside of those dates will be disqualified. Genesys may, in its sole discretion, extend the contest end date for a reasonable period.
You are eligible to enter and win this Contest if you meet the following requirements:
You may submit an entry with respect to your organization or with respect to another organization. In addition, a nominating Genesys Partner is eligible for winning if their nominated Customer wins the Level Up Award (see the FAQs).
Employees of Genesys or an affiliated Genesys organization (including part-time employees and contractors and members of their immediate family/household), Contest judges and Contest administrators are not eligible to enter AND win. For clarity, Genesys Employees may nominate a Customer.
An Entry must meet the following content/technical requirements:
Nominations must be submitted via the 2025 Genesys Customer Innovation Awards website intake form. No other forms of Entry will be accepted. The Entry may be augmented by supporting materials to assist judges in determining how well the nominee meets the criteria for the selected award at the time of nomination. Genesys reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or incorrect Entries at their discretion.
You must have obtained any and all consents, approvals or licenses required for you to submit your entry; and your entry must not otherwise violate the rights of any other person or organization by using their trademarks, music, logos, names, images or other intellectual property without their express written consent.
In addition, an eligible entrant must be able to (i) agree, on behalf of your organization, to use of the organization name and logo in association with all 2025 CIA promotion, including news, publicity and social media posts.
By submitting your Entry, you are granting us an irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide rights and license to: (i) publicize, use, review, assess, test and otherwise analyze your entry and its content in connection with this Contest; and (ii) feature your Entry and all its content in connection with the promotion of this Contest in all media including customer success stories (now known or later developed). Note that this does not apply to any sensitive financial performance data (e.g., return on investment) that may be shared for judging purposes.
Furthermore, you(i) agree to sign any necessary documentation that may be required for us and our designees to make use of the rights you granted above; (ii) understand and acknowledge that we may have independently developed or commissioned materials similar or identical to your submission, and waive any claims you or your organization may have resulting from any similarities to your entry; (iii) understand that we cannot control the incoming information you will disclose to our representatives in the course of entering, or what our representatives will remember about your entry and (iv) understand that we will not restrict work assignments of representatives who have had access to your entry.
By entering this contest, you agree that use of information in our representatives’ unaided memories in the development or deployment of our products or services does not create liability for us under the Rules or copyright or trade secret law; understand that neither you nor your organization will receive any compensation or credit for use of your entry, other than what is described in these Rules.
Following the end of this Contest your entry — edited for style and excluding any data not approved to share publicly — may be posted on a website selected by us for viewing by visitors to that website. We are not responsible for any unauthorized use of your entry by visitors to this website. While we reserve these rights, we are not obligated to use your entry for any purpose, even if it has been selected as a winning entry. If you or your organization do not want to grant us these rights to your entry, please do not enter this contest.
Genesys may use your proper name and state of residence as well as your organization name online and in print, or in any other media, in connection with this contest, without payment or compensation to you or your organization, except where prohibited by law.
A panel of Genesys and non-Genesys judges will review all eligible entries received and select, at their sole discretion and professional judgment, winners who are excelling at their use of Genesys. The decisions of the judges are final and binding. If we do not receive a sufficient number of entries meeting the entry requirements, we may, at our discretion, select fewer winners. In the event of a tie between any eligible entries, the tie may or may not be broken by an additional judge who will judge the tied entries based on the criteria listed above.
The judges will select one (1) partner and ten (10) customer representatives to EACH receive one (1) complimentary trip to the Xperience 2025 event in Nashville, Tennessee, which includes: round-trip economy airfare, event access, and three-night hotel stay.
If, for any reason, Xperience 2025 is postponed or cancelled, Genesys reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Each winner of this contest: (1) may not exchange the prize for cash or any other merchandise or services; (2) may not designate someone else as the winner; and (3) if the winner chooses to accept a prize, will be solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize. If the winner is unable or unwilling to accept, Genesys reserves the right to select an alternate winner.
Additionally, winners will have the opportunity to earn up to 300 bonus GCAP points by participating in activities such as a case study, press release and social posts.
On or around June 23, 2025, Genesys will determine contest finalists and will notify within seven (7) days, following the selection by sending a message to the email address provided in the nomination form. Judges will vote in June and July 2025 to determine potential winners.
In addition, the winners will be announced at Xperience 2025 and via press release and social media posts on September 9, 2025. If the winner is unreachable for any reason, we may award the prize to an alternate selected winner. If there is a dispute as to who is a winner, we will consider the winner to be the authorized account holder of the email address used in your entry.
We may require winners to sign an affidavit of eligibility, liability/publicity release. If a winner does not sign and return these required forms within the time period listed on the winner notification message, we may disqualify the winner and select an alternate winner.
By entering this Sweepstakes, you agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Genesys, its affiliates, and its directors, officers, employees, agents and assigns (the “Released Parties”) from any claims, losses, and damages arising out of, or relating to, your participation in this Sweepstakes or any Sweepstakes-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder (including, without limitation, any misrepresentation made by you in connection with the Sweepstakes; any non-compliance by you with these Rules; claims brought by persons or entities other than the parties to these Rules arising from or related to your involvement with the Sweepstakes; acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes; any malfunction, error or other problem arising in connection with the collection, processing, or retention of entry information; or any typographical or other error in the printing, offering or announcement of any winner). The foregoing includes, without limitation, any claim for personal injury, property loss or damage, or death arising in any way in connection with the Sweepstakes.
Decisions of Genesys on all matters related to the Sweepstakes are final and binding. Genesys reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes for any reason, including but not limited to, if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the Sweepstakes, or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the Sweepstakes as determined by Genesys, in its sole discretion. Genesys reserves the right to disqualify or prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation or with any provision in these Rules. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL & CIVIL LAWS. GENESYS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY AND/OR SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY INDIVIDUAL MAKING ANY SUCH ATTEMPTS TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Any disputes arising under this Sweepstakes and/or these Rules will be governed by relevant U.S. federal statutes and regulations and the internal laws of the State of California. Genesys and each entrant agree that any such claim or dispute between the parties, or between a party and any agent, employee, successor, or assign of the other, related to this Sweepstakes and/or these Rules (including the applicability of this arbitration clause) shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the JAMS under its rules and procedures in effect when the claim is filed. The rules and procedures and other information, including information on fees, may be obtained from JAMS’ website (www.jamsadr.com) or by calling JAMS at 949-224-1810. Any award by the arbitrator(s) may be entered as a judgment in any court having jurisdiction.
Genesys reserves the right to disqualify or prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected; if the individual fails to comply with any requirement of participation or with any provision in these Rules; if the individual’s behavior or communication at any point is disruptive, may or does cause damage or to any person, property, or reputation of Genesys, or is otherwise not in accordance with all applicable laws and generally accepted social practices as determined in Genesys’ sole discretion. Each Participant agrees to reimburse Genesys in full in respect of any losses, damages, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees (including, where permitted, reasonable attorney fees) that it may sustain from the breach of a representation or warranty made by you to Genesys hereunder. By entering, you and your participation complies with the requirements set out above including the representations and warranties.
If any provision(s) of these Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
