In Part 2 of the host highlight series, producer Josh Reed sits down with Mari Yamaguchi to discuss her diverse career paths — from professional figure skater, to broadcast journalist to communications advisor for elected officials. Mari Yamaguchi has spent over a decade in the communications field, including as an award-winning broadcast journalist and advisor to elected officials. She brings her diverse career backgrounds and philosophies from her Japanese heritage to her practice of customer experience. She is currently co-host of Genesys’ podcast, Take a Moment, and global manager of Genesys’s customer experience and Voice of the Customer (VoC) practice.
Josh Reed, a Ball State University graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing, started at Genesys back in 2017 with a passion for audio and video production. With Nathan Bennett and Mari Yamaguchi, he co-founded and produces the first Genesys podcast “Take a Moment.” In addition to the podcast, his responsibilities at Genesys include the production and promotion of global webinars for the award winning Digital Engagement team. Before Genesys, he specialized in brand and e-commerce digital marketing.
