Genesys Prepared to Win Digital Customer Engagement

Ask any coach what it takes to win a championship and he or she will tell you, it’s a winning strategy and a winning team.

At Genesys, we’re putting both into place as we go after our next major opportunity: Digital Customer Engagement.

Our Winning Digital Strategy

It’s an exciting time at Genesys. We’ve expanded our cloud portfolios; built strategic alliances with marquee names, including Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud and Zoom; and are being recognized for our cloud market leadership from major industry analyst firms as we deliver our Experience as a ServiceSM vision to customers around the world.

The next frontier is Digital Customer Engagement.

A few months ago, we announced our new Genesys Digital and AI business unit to enable companies to address the latest technology trends and consumers’ ever-changing needs in the digital landscape.

Today, following the completion of the acquisition of Bold360 from LogMeIn, we’ll accelerate our ability to deliver digital-based innovations driven by artificial intelligence (AI). By uniting the  complementary capabilities of Bold360 with the Genesys AI and data platform and partner ecosystem, we’ll enable companies to deliver experiences that are fluid, context-based and personalized across any part of their business or channel.

Our Winning Digital Leadership Team

I’m proud to announce a powerhouse Digital and AI leadership team that represents a mix of digital industry expertise, our own internal talent, and leaders from Bold360 — a leader in AI-powered digital customer engagement.

Welcome Brett Weigl, who becomes SVP, Product Management, joining us from Salesforce, where he led Digital Engagement Product Management for the past three years. Brett is an Enterprise SaaS product management leader with deep experience in Digital Customer Service, CRM, APIs, MarTech, and analytics/BI. Prior to Salesforce, he held product management roles at ExactTarget, VerticalResponse and Certain Software.

We also welcome Liam McDwyer, as VP, Commercial Operations. Liam has spent the past seven years at Microsoft in EMEA, most recently as Head of Customer Success for Microsoft Dynamics. He has comprehensive industry experience and has held engineering, consulting, commercial and leadership roles at Codec, Oracle, Lumenia, and Avaya.

The Digital and AI leadership team also includes Guillaume Lardeux as Chief of Operations; Joe Smyth, SVP, Engineering, Digital and AI; Attila Vassy, VP Engineering, who joins us from Bold360 and will continue to lead the Bold Engineering team; and Lorie Lagares, VP, Digital Services and Solutions, who also joins us from Bold360 and will manage customer-facing roles.

And this is just the beginning. We plan to apply the same recipe for success that has worked with our Genesys Cloud™ business — customer-centricity and innovation — to the emerging opportunity of Digital Customer Engagement. Let the games begin!
