Conor McGann has been a practitioner of Artificial Intelligence in academia and business for over 2 decades. He specialized in AI for autonomous robots while at NASA, the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, and Willow Garage. In 2011 Conor co-founded Solariat, a technology company applying text analytics and machine learning to social customer care. Solariat was acquired in 2014 by Genesys, where Conor now leads a team applying AI to optimize customer engagement more broadly. Conor is originally from Ireland and now lives in the Bay Area, married to a Texan, with 2 teenage kids and an idiosyncratic dog.
