Paul Segre, President and Chief Executive Officer

Paul Segre is the president and chief executive officer at Genesys. Since taking on this position in 2007, he has led the company to consistent yearly double-digit growth, including record revenues of more than $610 million in 2012.

Paul joined Genesys in 2002 as chief technology officer with responsibility for product management and engineering. In 2004, he became chief operating officer with responsibility for sales, service, and support.

From 2002 to 2011, Paul held a variety of executive management roles at Alcatel-Lucent, including president of the Applications Group, which included Genesys. During this time, he led a worldwide team and grew revenues to more than $2.9 billion.

Prior to Genesys, Paul held senior positions at DSC, Bell Labs, and AT&T Network Systems in strategy, business development, and operations support systems development.

He holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in operations research from Stanford University.

James Budge, Chief Operations Officer and Chief Financial Officer

James Budge is the chief operating and chief financial officer at Genesys. He is responsible for the global finance, field operations, legal, human resources, corporate development, and information technology organizations.

James joined Genesys in 2012. Prior to Genesys, James served as chief operating and chief financial officer of Rovi Corporation where he played an integral role in the company’s transformation, including significant revenue and earnings growth, and more than a dozen acquisitions over a six-year period. Previously, James was chief financial officer of Trados, an enterprise management software provider, until its acquisition by SDL. He also served as chief financial officer at Sendmail, a secure email provider, and at CrossWorlds Software, a provider of business infrastructure software, until its acquisition by IBM.

James holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Brigham Young University.

Tom Eggemeier is the executive vice president of global sales at Genesys. He is responsible for the company's global sales, channel and field operations.  

Prior to his current role, Tom led the Alcatel-Lucent global enterprise sales organization (which included Genesys) with revenue responsibility of approximately $1.8 billion. Previously, Tom held a variety of leadership roles at Alcatel-Lucent, Enterasys Networks, and Compaq in the areas of general management, sales and channels, product management, marketing, corporate communications, and research and development.

Tom holds a juris doctorate degree from the University of Chicago Law School, where he has served as a Visiting Committee member, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton.

Reed Henry, Chief Marketing Officer

Reed Henry is the chief marketing officer at Genesys. He is responsible for the company’s worldwide marketing, including product and solution marketing, go-to-market programs and lead generation

Reed joined Genesys in 2012. Prior to Genesys, Reed led marketing for ArcSight Corporation where he transformed marketing to fuel the company’s growth from a private company to a successful fast-growing public company. Previously, Reed led marketing and business development for SeeBeyond, a public company focused on business process and composite applications, and prior to that strategy, mergers and acquisitions and new business categories for eBay. Reed also co-founded Vertical Networks, a company delivering contact center and unified communications solutions for small to midsize companies and branch offices

Reed holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

David Rennyson, Executive Vice President, Genesys Cloud

David Rennyson is the executive vice president for Genesys Cloud at Genesys. He is responsible for the overall Genesys Cloud business.

David joined Genesys in 2013. Prior to Genesys, David served as president of Angel, during which time he helped the company achieve nearly 60% year-over-year revenue growth before its acquisition by Genesys.

David joined Angel from Spirent Communications, where he held positions as both vice president of marketing and vice president of sales. At Spirent, David developed and launched IP services, field force management, and DSL solutions, and was instrumental in growing commercial business with Verizon, BellSouth, Cincinnati Bell, TelMex, and Puerto Rico Telecom. Prior to joining Spirent, David was vice president of the Network Construction and Implementation Group at Zephion Networks, Inc. Prior to that, David spent nearly a decade at Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in various management positions, including operations, engineering, and customer delivery.

David holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics from James Madison University. As a Rotary Scholar, he completed his master's degree of Science in Information Technology at the Engineering and Computer Science Colleges of University College, London. David also earned an MBA at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.

David Sudbey is the executive vice president for customer success at Genesys. He is responsible for delivering the Genesys customer experience worldwide, including professional services, customer care, and education programs. In addition, David oversees Genesys Prime, the Brazil-based team dedicated to innovative self-service applications.

David joined Genesys in 1997 and has held a variety of roles in senior management in the areas of professional services, strategic sales, business operations, and sales engineering. Prior to Genesys, David led a call center applications team that focused on emerging technologies for Nortel Networks.

David graduated from the Wentworth Technology Institute Telecommunications Program and completed the General Manager Program at Harvard Business School.

Merijn te Booij is the executive vice president of product and solution strategy at Genesys. He is responsible for the product management lifecycle, including product strategy, market analysis, product management, and solution launches. 

Merijn joined Genesys in 2000 as a sales consultant for its Europe, Middle East, and Africa region. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president of professional services, creating and leading the Genesys Business Consulting practice.

Prior to Genesys, Merijn gained extensive experience in running contact centers, having managed contact center operations for the Dutch Automobile Association in Holland.

Merijn holds a master's degree in international law from the Rijksuniversiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands.

Slava Zhakov is the chief technology officer at Genesys. He is responsible for product development, setting the company’s technical vision, and leading all aspects of technology development and innovation.

Slava joined Genesys in 1998 and most recently served as chief technology officer of the Alcatel-Lucent Applications Group, leading product development for Genesys, as well as the enterprise and carrier communications products for Alcatel-Lucent.

Prior to Genesys, Slava founded Program-Technique, a software development company. He also taught as a Professor at the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.

Slava holds a master’s degree in computer science and a doctorate degree from the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation.

Jeff Haslem, Chief Information Officer

Jeff Haslem is the Chief Information Officer at Genesys. He is responsible for the company’s financial, CRM, HR and business intelligence systems. He leads a global team dedicated to ensuring that the company’s transformation and aggressive goals are supported by the right information technology and security. 

Prior to joining Genesys in 2012, Jeff served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Rovi Corporation. In this role, Jeff was responsible for the vision, strategy, governance, business alignment and operations for Rovi’s worldwide IT Services and Facilities.  While at Rovi, Jeff oversaw the seamless integration of 10 acquisitions, and led an internal IT business partner team of 170. Jeff has also held leadership roles at Openwave, Broadvision and Oracle.

Jeff holds an MBA degree from the University of Maryland and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

Jim René, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer

Jim René is the chief legal officer and chief ethics and compliance officer at Genesys. He is responsible for Genesys’ legal work and its ethics and compliance matters. He also oversees the Genesys intellectual property portfolio and serves as corporate secretary.

Jim joined Genesys in 2000 with responsibility for its legal activities in his capacity as General Counsel for the West Coast region of Alcatel. In 2003, Jim was appointed General Counsel, Alcatel North America, which included Genesys and Alcatel’s other North America businesses. Following the merger between Alcatel and Lucent Technologies in 2007, Jim served as Deputy General Counsel of Alcatel-Lucent with legal responsibility for various Alcatel-Lucent global business units, including Genesys.

Prior to Genesys, Jim was a partner with Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, where he specialized in corporate and securities law, as well as merger and acquisition transactions.

Jim holds a juris doctorate degree from Cornell Law School, an MBA degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor’s degree from Occidental College. Jim was a Fulbright Scholar in Germany at the Europe Institute, University of the Saarland, where he studied law and economics and was awarded a Certificate of European Studies.

Richard Brown is the senior vice president of North America at Genesys. He is responsible for commercial activities in the region, including sales, channel management, delivery and customer satisfaction.

Richard joined Genesys in 2013. Prior to Genesys, Richard led the xMatters Global Sales organization as senior vice president of global sales. Prior to this, he served as vice president of sales at HP Software. Prior to its acquisition by HP, he was vice president of the Western Area and Latin America sales organizations for Mercury Interactive. He also held senior management and sales positions at Storage Networks, Oracle and EMC.

Richard holds a bachelor’s of arts degree from the University of Washington.

John Carr

John joined Genesys in 1999 and has held several leadership positions in sales and professional services in the US, EMEA and LATAM regions. Previously, he worked at Informix Software and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).

Tracy Coté is the senior vice president of human resources at Genesys. She is responsible for human resources programs, including compensation, benefits, employee development, employee relations, international HR, recruiting, and workforce planning.

Tracy joined Genesys in 2013. Prior to Genesys, Tracy was vice president of human resources at MobiTV, Inc., a leading provider of premium end-to-end mobile media solutions. Tracy also served as executive director of human resources at Organic Inc., a digital professional services company from 2004 to 2010.  Prior to this, she was a senior human resources manager for Charles Schwab.

Tracy holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Sonoma State University.  She is also a member of the faculty at San Francisco State University where she has taught classes in the human resources management program since 2005.

Bruce Eidsvik is the senior vice president of Asia Pacific at Genesys. He is responsible for commercial activities in the region, including sales, channel management, delivery and customer satisfaction.

Prior to his current role, Bruce led the strategic solutions group for the Alcatel-Lucent enterprise business, based in Paris. Prior to this, Bruce ran the voice portal team for Genesys in EMEA. He was also a co-founder of VoiceGenie Technologies in Toronto, where he managed the global sales force. Before VoiceGenie, Bruce served as vice president of sales and marketing for Array Systems Computing Inc., and as director of engineering and director of business development for Sparton of Canada, Ltd.

Bruce holds a bachelor’s of science degree with honors in engineering physics from Queen’s University in Canada.

Madan Gadde is the senior vice president of professional services at Genesys. He is responsible for professional services and education services.

Madan joined Genesys in 2012. Prior to Genesys, Madan served as senior director of global practices at HP. Prior to this, he was vice president of the HP Software Americas professional services division, leading of a team of over 600 members responsible for selling and delivering consulting and education services across the Americas.

Prior to HP, Madan held senior management positions at Mercury Interactive / Kintana, Shell Services India and Singapore, and Modi Xerox in India.

Madan holds a bachelor’s of commerce degree in accounting from Loyola College, India, and an MBA in finance from Andhra University, India.

Lucy Norris is the senior vice president of Genesys Care, the Genesys global customer care and maintenance program. She is responsible for all global support and maintenance operations with a focus on ensuring customer success.

Lucy joined Genesys in 2012. Prior to Genesys, Lucy served as senior vice president of global customer care and senior vice president at Global 360, a Dallas-based leader in BPM software (acquired by Open Text).  Prior to this, she served as vice president of product management and commercialization with Eastman Software, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Eastman Kodak Company. She has also held positions with Wang Laboratories.

Mark joined Genesys in 2003. Prior to Genesys, Mark served as  vice president of EMEA for Commerce One and as chief executive officer of Aspelle. Prior to that, Mark worked in sales management at Ingres and Software AG,  before joining Sybase as managing director of the UK. 

Mark holds a bachelor’s of science degree with honors in Engineering from the University of Surry and an MBA from Cranfield University in the UK.
