Alice Katwan of Genesys Recognized as a Woman of Influence
Genesys Sales Executive Honored for Her Professional Contributions by Silicon Valley Business Journal
SAN FRANCISCO – April 15, 2015 — Genesys (www.genesys.com), the market leader in omnichannel customer experience (CX) and contact center solutions, announced today that Alice Katwan, Vice President of Sales, North America West, was named one of Silicon Valley’s “Women of Influence 2015” by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. The annual awards program honors the top 100 businesswomen, community leaders and philanthropists for their achievements and contributions to the region.

At Genesys, Katwan leads the North American West commercial and operational activities, which accounts for half of the company’s North American revenue. In the last 12 months, her team developed innovative market strategies and nurtured strategic relationships, which has led to 3.5 times year-over-year growth.

Katwan takes a strong interest in promoting women in leadership. She is an active participant in the Genesys Emerging Women Leaders Webinar Series as well as a member of The CLUB of Silicon Valley, where she leads the community events function for the Silicon Valley region.

Prior to Genesys, Katwan was Sales Director for the Western region at Red Hat, a global provider of open-source solutions, where she worked for nearly eight years. Prior to that, she worked for BEA Systems, Network Appliance and Sagent Technology. Katwan will receive the award at a gala on May 7 in San Jose, Calif.
