The new customer service landscape
The last couple of years have had a lasting impact on the way contact centers operate. Whether it’s dealing with the challenges of onboarding and training a remote contact center workforce or implementing strategies to reduce agent attrition and increase customer satisfaction, the expectations to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience have never been higher. And most importantly, the desire to connect with customers on a personal level has never mattered more.
When choosing between two seemingly equal candidates, organizations are prioritizing “soft skills” as the key differentiator. In fact, in the LinkedIn Global Talent Trends report, 92% of talent acquisition professionals reported that soft skills are equally or more important than hard skills when hiring. And, 89% said that when a new hire doesn’t work out, it’s because they lack critical soft skills.
